Are you unsure of where or how to fish Lake Belle Taine?

Go Fish! Guide Service is undoubtedly the answer to your angling blues. Jason Durham and many of the guides that work with him fished Lake Belle Taine long before they were old enough to operate a boat with anything more high-powered than a set of oars. Guided fishing trips are scheduled in either half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) formats. Everything needed to catch fish is provided for you including rods, reels, bait, and tackle. Jason agrees to pick you up at the appointed time right at the end of the docks at Woodson Cabins. Up to four anglers can board at one time. Call 218.252.2278 to schedule your fishing trip. Sometimes it is possible to arrange a trip with only a few hours' notice. However, to ensure a guide is available during your stay at Woodson Cabins, we recommend that you call and schedule with Jason as soon as possible.

When you meet Jason, who teaches kindergarten in Nevis, you will immediately discover he loves to fish. He is passionate about this sport. Jason writes a fishing column weekly for the Park Rapids Enterprise and has been featured in Outdoor Life, Field and Stream, In-Fisherman’s Walleye Insider, and many regional publications. He also travels to sports shows presenting fishing seminars for both children and adults on a variety of angling topics. Jason has authored two books on fishing entitled Pro Tactics: Panfish and Pro Tactics: Ice Fishing. They may be purchased online through Amazon or locally at Beagle Books in Park Rapids.

We need your help to protect the water quality of our lake and the natural vegetation that feeds the fish and other wildlife. As stewards of this area, it is our responsibility to maintain the water quality of our lake for all to enjoy for years to come. We ask you to do your part.

  • Inspect all watercraft, trailers, and boating equipment, remove any visible plants, animals, and mud before leaving any water access site.
  • Drain water from boat, bait container, live well, bilge, and impellor before leaving any water access. If you want to keep your live bait, you must replace the water in bait containers with tap or spring water.
  • Dispose of unwanted bait in the trash. Never release live bait into a waterbody or release aquatic animals from one waterbody into another.
  • Use closed throttle close to shore. The wake from your boat causes the shoreline to erode and may destroy vegetation.
